Hearing impaired students encourage other people with disabilities to rise and study

During the launch of the Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund special disability grant program on Tuesday, March 19, hearing impaired Peter Uushona (29) encouraged students to apply for financial assistance to study at tertiary or vocational institutions through the program. The program is in collaboration with the disability affairs department in the Office of the President.

Uushona is a second-year student studying for a Bachelor of Education from the International University of Management.

Aina Mwalya, a third year student of financial administration at IUM, also advised people with disabilities to rise and study at any tertiary or vocational institution with the help of the disability grant.
